Political and legislative advocacy is one of the most important mechanisms to protect the real estate industry, advance private property rights, promote homeownership and ensure that REALTORS^®, and those aligned with REALTOR^® interests, are elected to public office. One of the primary ways we accomplish these goals is through political engagement via the NYSAR Fund and the use of independent expenditure campaigns.

The purpose of any such independent expenditure campaign operated by the NYSAR Fund shall be to educate the public and REALTORS^® on the issues facing the real estate industry, inform the public and real estate professionals on the positions held by public officials and promote the election of candidates that support sound policies for the real estate industry, its professionals, and consumers.

The NYSAR Fund is an Independent Expenditure Committee registered with the New York State Board of Elections and as such adheres to all registration and reporting requirements. The NYSAR Fund does not make political contributions, whether direct or in-kind, to any candidate committee, party committee, legislative leadership committee or political action committee.
